14 teams showed up for the tourney which I believe was a record turnout.  The teams were:

Cedar Rapids Headhunters
River City(Mason City)
Univ. of Northern Iowa
Iowa State University
Luther College
South Central, IA
Lincoln City, Nebraska

The GOATS and Cedar Rapids made one semi-final, while the Swine and Missouri were in the other.  Cedar Rapids and the Swine won their knockout matches fairly comfortably in the second half.  Cedar Rapids got off to a good start and kept the lead in the championship even though the Swine did score to keep CR on its toes. 

A thank you to my fellow referees is due: Jeremiah Johnson, Garry Davidson, Adam Falk, Doug Loots, Lenny Smith, Ted Brown, Nick Heeran, and Kirp as I believe we had around 32 matches to cover.  My apologies to anyone I missed. 
Congratulations to Nick and Kirp for organizing the tournament and to the cooks slaving over a hot grill. 

Thank you to the Marine Corp and the players you helped raise a tremendous amount of toys and cash for the kids.
